The density of refractory bricks refers to the weight contained in a unit volume, usually expressed in grams/cubic centimeter or kilogram/cubic meter. It is one of the physical properties of refractory bricks, which directly affects its strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties.

The density of refractory bricks varies depending on the material and manufacturing process. Generally, the density of common refractory bricks ranges from 1.8 g/cm3 to 2.8 g/cubic cm3.

Different types of refractory bricks have different density ranges. The following is an introduction to the density of common refractory bricks:

1. Density of bauxite refractory brick

Bauxite bricks are made of natural or artificial bauxite containing relatively high alumina and silicate components. Its density ranges from 1.8 to 2.0 g/cm3, and it has good acid and alkali resistance and high temperature resistance.

2. Density of high alumina refractory bricks

High-alumina bricks are made of high-aluminum materials as the main raw material and sintered at high temperature. The density range is 2.4-2.7 g/cm3. It has extremely high temperature resistance, cold and heat cycle resistance, and corrosion resistance.

3. Density of aluminum silicate refractory brick

Aluminum silicate brick is made of kaolin, bentonite and other materials through crushing, mixing, molding and sintering. Its density ranges from 2.2 to 2.5 g/cm3, and it has excellent high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and corrosion resistance.

4. Silica brick refractory brick density

Silica bricks are mainly made of silicon materials, with a density range of 2.2-2.6 g/cm3, and have good properties such as high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and corrosion resistance.

5. Density of magnesia brick refractory brick

Magnesia brick is a kind of refractory material which is calcined with magnesia as the main raw material. Its density ranges from 2.9 to 3.1 grams per cubic centimeter, and it has excellent high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

It should be noted that refractory bricks with different densities have different application scenarios and restrictions in use. Before use, you need to understand their specific performance characteristics, and install, maintain and replace them in strict accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
