Glass Industry Solutions
In the field of glass industry, in harsh environments, the damage of kiln lining materials is mainly caused by chemical erosion, mechanical erosion, and high temperature. Real gold refractories can provide you with erosion-resistant, long-life magnesia-alumina bricks, directly combined magnesia-chrome bricks . As well as castables and ramming materials for glass kilns.

Glass melting furnaces are thermal equipment for making glass, usually constructed of refractory materials . The chemical energy, electrical energy or other energy sources of the fuel are used to generate heat to create a controllable high temperature environment (distribution and atmosphere), so that the glass batches can complete physical and chemical changes in the process of heat transfer, mass transfer and momentum transfer. Through the stages of melting, clarification, homogenization and cooling, the production provides a certain quantity and quality of molten glass.

Refractory materials for various parts of glass kiln

1. Glass kiln wall tiles

Fused zirconium corundum brick is the ideal material for the pool wall of the pool kiln that melts soda-lime-silicon and contains boron. When melting alkali-free or low-alkali glass fiber, due to acid erosion, the material of pool wall brick is AZS brick or dense zircon brick.

2. Glass kiln bottom brick

Pool bottom bricks are required to be wear-resistant and have integrity restrictions, and multi-layer composite pool bottom structures are mostly used. Insulation layer under the large clay bricks. A protective layer and a wear-resistant layer are arranged on the top of the clay brick, and the protective layer is made of zirconium quartz sand ramming material or fused corundum ramming material. The wear-resistant layer is on the protective layer to protect the bottom of the ramming pool and directly contact with the glass liquid. The fused AZS bricks with good corrosion resistance and wear resistance are commonly used.

3. Large

The large dowel in the melting part is located above the molten glass and the flame, at an operating temperature of 1600°C.

The material requirements of the slats are: alkali vapor corrosion resistance, low thermal conductivity, corrosion products under high temperature that do not contaminate glass, high load softness, creep resistance, and good high temperature strength under lateral thrust.

Due to the small span and low temperature of the cooling section, silica bricks are generally used.

4. Feeding pool, liquid hole brick

Powder and glass liquid, material layer wear, liquid flow erosion, flame and other erosion without shrinkage porosity fused zirconium corundum brick containing 41% zirconium.

5. Cooling pool and molding pool bricks

The AZS-33 bricks produced by the oxidation method in the cooling pool have a high glass phase folding temperature and do not brinig air bubbles.

6. Parapet and small furnace

Because the breast wall and small furnace in the high temperature melting area are close to the horizontal flame and are often eroded by fly materials and alkali steam, 33 # fused AZS bricks are usually used.
