The alumina-silica raw materials are used as aggregate and fines for the manufacture of alkali resistant castable, with calcium alumina cement and some additives as binder. Those castable have their effective functions to resist the corrosion of alkali volatiles at high and middle-temperatures. Viscous liquid formed at high temperature becomes a layer of glare to block volatile infiltration. Therefore, those castable have the features of high chemical stability, strong hot strength, and superior corrosion resistance.
