Rotary kiln is a common high-temperature equipment, mainly used in cement, metallurgy and other industries. The lining material of the rotary kiln needs to have high temperature refractory performance and good wear resistance, so the refractory bricks used in the rotary kiln also have certain characteristics and classifications accordingly. The following is an introduction to the refractory bricks commonly used in different parts of the rotary kiln.
1. Refractory bricks for the calciner area of the rotary kiln
High-alumina bricks: Generally, high-alumina bricks with 42%-85% alumina content are used, such as YF42, YF50, YF60, etc. Composed of alumina and auxiliary materials, the main features are high refractoriness, strong corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and good wear resistance.
Aluminum silicate bricks: some equipment can also use aluminum silicate bricks as refractory materials for the heated surface in the calciner.
2. Refractory bricks for the transitional furnace area of the rotary kiln
Lightweight high-alumina bricks: Lightweight high-alumina bricks with an alumina content between 30% and 50% can be selected according to specific conditions, such as ZGN-30, ZGN-42, ZGN-50, etc.
Aluminum silicate bricks: Aluminum silicate bricks with SiO2 content between 35% and 65% can be selected according to specific conditions, such as AZS-33, AZS-36, etc.
3. Refractory bricks for rotary kiln body
Basic magnesia bricks: generally use alkaline magnesia bricks with MgO content between 70% and 85%, such as MgO-CaO-ZrO2, etc. Alkaline magnesia bricks are composed of magnesia, calcium oxide, zirconia and other materials. The main features are good corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity and small thermal expansion coefficient.
Aluminum silicate bricks: Generally, aluminum silicate bricks with SiO2 content between 35% and 65% are used, such as S-75, S-80, etc. Aluminum silicate bricks are composed of alumina, silicate and other substances, and their main features are high refractoriness, strong resistance to acid and alkali erosion, and good thermal stability.
4. Refractory bricks for rotary kiln exhaust pipe
Lightweight high-alumina bricks: Lightweight high-alumina bricks with an alumina content between 30% and 50% can be selected according to specific conditions, such as ZGN-30, ZGN-42, ZGN-50, etc. Made of lightweight alumina, aluminum oxide and other materials, the main features are low density, good fire resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient, and good wear resistance.
Aluminum silicate bricks: Aluminum silicate bricks with SiO2 content between 35% and 65% can be selected according to specific conditions, such as AZS-33, AZS-36, etc.
It should be noted that due to the differences in different equipment and process requirements, the selection and use of refractory bricks for rotary kilns need to be comprehensively considered according to specific conditions, and comprehensively evaluated in combination with factors such as brand reputation, supplier strength and price, to ensure The normal operation and safety and stability of the equipment.
