One. What is a calciner
Calciner is a high-temperature equipment, mainly used for calcination and processing of materials. It is the process of changing the physical or chemical properties of raw materials or semi-finished products by heat treatment at high temperature. Calciners usually use resistance heating, flame spraying, etc. to provide heat sources, and use various refractory materials to build the furnace body and internal structure.
The structure and working principle of the calciner vary according to the application and equipment type. Common calciners include the following:
1. Stationary calciner
Stationary calciner usually consists of furnace body, heating element, inlet and outlet, control system and so on. The material is heated statically in the furnace, which is suitable for small batch production and laboratory research.
2. Rotary calciner
Rotary calciner usually consists of furnace body, transmission device, heating element, material inlet and outlet, dust removal system and so on. The material is put into the rotating drum, and the rotating drum itself is also rotating in the furnace body at the same time, which is suitable for mass production and continuous processing.
3. Fluidized bed calciner
Fluidized bed calciner usually consists of furnace body, gas distribution system, inlet and outlet, dust removal system, etc. The materials are heated and reacted in the flowing gas bed, which is suitable for calcination and modification of powder materials.
Different types of calcination furnaces can also be classified according to the types of materials processed, such as metal ore calcination furnaces, limestone calcination furnaces, cement clinker calcination furnaces, ceramic sintering furnaces, etc.
Two. What are the refractory materials used in the calciner?
1. Alumina ceramic fiber
Alumina ceramic fiber is a refractory material with excellent high temperature resistance, heat insulation and corrosion resistance. It is mainly used in the furnace door, heat insulation layer and furnace cover of the calciner, which can effectively prevent heat and gas leakage.
2. Silicon carbide brick
Silicon carbide brick is a high temperature refractory material with good corrosion resistance, wear resistance and impact resistance. It is widely used in the furnace body, furnace lining and other parts of the calciner, which can effectively protect the furnace body from the damage of high temperature and corrosive gas.
3. Synthetic magnesia brick
Synthetic magnesia brick is a high-temperature refractory material made of magnesia as the main raw material, which has excellent alkali resistance, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. It is suitable for the furnace body and internal structure of various calciners, and can effectively withstand severe conditions such as high temperature and strong acid and alkali.
4. Alumina ceramic ball
Alumina ceramic ball is a special ceramic material with alumina as the main component, which has excellent high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. It is often used in the filling and supporting cushion of the calcination furnace, which can enhance the effect and stability of the calcination reaction.
5. Alkaline brick
Alkaline brick is a kind of refractory material made of alkaline components such as magnesium oxide and calcium oxide as the main raw material. It has good alkali corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. It is suitable for the treatment of alkali-containing materials in some calciners, such as glass kilns, cement kilns, etc.
It should be noted that different calciner types and application fields have different requirements for refractory materials, and the selection and use need to be considered according to specific conditions to ensure the normal operation and use effect of the equipment.
