Refractory mud is a special refractory material, which is often used for masonry and repair of high-temperature equipment lining, and has good refractory performance and cohesiveness. According to its chemical composition and physical properties, refractory mud can be divided into the following categories:
1. High Alumina Refractory Mortar:
High-alumina refractory clay is mainly composed of alumina (Al2O3), usually containing high-purity alumina and auxiliary reinforcing curing agent.
With excellent high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, it is suitable for masonry and repair in high temperature areas, such as blast furnaces and ladles.
2. Silicate Refractory Mortar:
Portland refractory cement is composed of Portland cement and Portland powder, usually containing silicate cementitious materials and fillers.
With good high temperature resistance and durability, it is suitable for masonry and repair of various high temperature kilns and industrial furnaces.
3. Phosphate Refractory Mortar:
Phosphate refractory cement consists of phosphate cement and powder materials, usually containing phosphate gelling agents and fillers.
It has good high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and impact resistance, and is suitable for lining repair of industrial furnaces such as metallurgy and coking.
4. Basic Refractory Mortar:
Alkaline earth refractory mud is composed of alkaline earth metal oxides, high-quality refractory particles and auxiliary cementitious materials.
It has high alkali corrosion resistance and durability, and is suitable for some special processing places, such as glass furnaces, electric furnaces, etc.
5. Silicon Carbide Refractory Mortar:
Silicon carbide refractory mud is composed of silicon carbide particles, high temperature gelling agent and refractory powder materials.
It has excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and impact resistance, and is suitable for repairing high temperature kilns and heat treatment equipment.
In addition to the above common refractory mud, there are also some special types of refractory mud, such as silicon nitride refractory mud, boron carbide refractory mud, etc., which have special refractory performance and application fields. Selecting the proper type of refractory mortar depends on factors such as the required refractory performance, operating temperature and environmental conditions. When using refractory mud, relevant construction techniques and instructions should be followed according to specific requirements to ensure its normal use and prolong its service life.
