The ambient temperature of the kiln mouth of the cement rotary kiln is high and the fluctuation range is large (1000°C~1400°C): the high-temperature cement clinker that has been cooled and hardened to a certain extent, and the high-temperature airflow enters the cooler through the kiln mouth, which seriously wears the lining of the kiln mouth; Every time the rotary kiln starts and stops, the temperature at the kiln mouth changes sharply; the cooler and alkaline volatiles in the kiln circulate and enrich at the kiln mouth; at the same time, the kiln mouth cylinder is prone to deformation, which is harmful to the lining of the kiln mouth. Stress effect.
There are four main reasons for damage to the pouring material at the kiln mouth of the cement rotary kiln:
(1) Abrasion of cement clinker and high-temperature airflow: The refractory material at the kiln mouth of the cement kiln lacks the protection of the kiln skin, and is constantly scoured and worn by the cooled and hardened high-temperature cement clinker and high-temperature airflow.
(2) Thermal shock damage: After the first batch of production, when the cement clinker reaches the kiln mouth, it directly contacts the refractory material, causing its temperature to rise sharply in a short period of time, causing the refractory material to burst or crack. When the kiln is shut down, the refractory material at the kiln mouth is the first to be subjected to thermal shock.
(3) Erosion of alkaline volatiles: kiln mouth refractories have no stable kiln skin protection, and are eroded by cement clinker and alkaline volatiles in secondary air.
(4) Stress damage: The rotary kiln will deform during the rotation process, and at the same time, the refractory bricks in the kiln will undergo relative displacement and deformation, and the ambient temperature at the kiln mouth will change sharply. Stress damage such as thermal stress.
