The lime kiln preheater is an important part of the lime kiln system. It mainly consists of a feed port, a rotating screen drum, a turning device, a discharge port, a driving device and a transmission device. The working principle of the lime kiln preheater is to introduce the cold raw materials into the rotating screen cylinder through the feed port, and continuously flip, collide and rub under the action of the turning plate device to make the raw materials reach the predetermined temperature.
During the production process, the preheater will use high-temperature gas and flue gas formed in the lime kiln to recover waste heat through the heat exchanger, thereby achieving the purpose of saving energy. When the raw material passes through the preheater, the hot air with higher temperature comes into direct contact with the cold raw material. After heat transfer, the temperature of the raw material rises rapidly, completing the preheating process. Normally, the temperature of the lime kiln preheater is controlled between 800°C and 1000°C to achieve the best preheating effect.
Refractory materials used in lime kilns include magnesia-alumina spinel bricks, high alumina bricks, silica mullite bricks, high-strength wear-resistant castables, corundum castables, clay bricks, etc.
