Refractory cement is a special cement with good high temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. According to the composition and application, refractory cement can be divided into the following main types:
1. High Alumina Refractory Cement (High Alumina Refractory Cement):
High alumina refractory cement is made of high alumina bauxite (Al2O3 content greater than 50%) as the main raw material. It has excellent fire resistance and corrosion resistance, and can be used stably for a long time in a high temperature environment. It is widely used in the preparation of refractory materials, bonding and repairing of refractory bricks, as well as in metallurgy, chemical industry and other fields.
2. Portland refractory cement (Silicate Refractory Cement):
Portland refractory cement is based on silicate minerals, such as calcium silicate (CaO·SiO2), magnesium silicate (MgO·SiO2), etc. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, alkali resistance and corrosion resistance, and is often used in the construction of refractory structures such as glass kilns, ceramic kilns, and coal gasifiers.
3. High-Temperature Castable Refractory Cement:
High-temperature casting refractory cement is made of high-purity refractory aggregate and special additives, and has good high temperature resistance, thermal shock stability and erosion resistance. It can be directly poured or coated on refractory materials, and is often used for lining and repairing high-temperature equipment such as kilns, furnaces, and heating furnaces.
4. Phosphate Refractory Cement:
Phosphate refractory cement is made from phosphate compounds as the main raw material, common ingredients include ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (NH4H2PO4) and tricalcium phosphate (Ca3(PO4)2). It has excellent high temperature resistance, cold and heat cycle resistance and alkali resistance, and is widely used in high temperature equipment in metallurgy, electric power and other industrial fields.
In addition, there are other types of refractory cements such as alumina refractory cement, magnesia refractory cement, etc., which are used according to different composition and performance requirements. To select the appropriate type of refractory cement, factors such as process requirements, use environment and material properties should be considered, and relevant specifications and standards should be followed.
