The firebrick for the boiler needs to be dried before use to remove the moisture and other volatile substances inside the brick body, so as to prevent the undesirable phenomenon of the brick body bursting or foaming at high temperature and ensure the normal operation of the boiler. The following is a detailed introduction to the drying of refractory bricks for boilers:
1, Hot air drying method: This method is usually suitable for large-scale industrial boilers. Before drying, the inside of the boiler needs to be cleaned, and then the air is heated to 200℃-300℃, and the hot air is sent into the inside of the boiler through the fan, so that it can achieve the drying effect.
2, Air drying method: This method is suitable for smaller and medium-sized boilers. The inside of the boiler is cleaned first, and then compressed air or dry gas is injected into the brick cracks in order to force the air over the surface of the brick and carry away the moisture and other volatile substances in it.
3, Stage drying method: This method is suitable for large energy-saving boilers. The inside of the boiler is divided into several dry zones, and the temperature and humidity in each zone can be controlled. In the drying process, gradually increase the temperature and reduce the humidity to achieve the final drying effect.
4, Natural drying method: This method is suitable for small boilers. After cleaning the inside of the boiler, place it in a well-ventilated place and let it dry naturally. It should be noted that natural drying takes a long time, and it cannot guarantee that the internal moisture of the brick is completely removed.
In short, in the process of drying refractory bricks for boilers, it is necessary to operate in strict accordance with the relevant specifications and requirements to ensure that the drying temperature, humidity, time and other parameters meet the standard requirements, so as not to affect the normal operation of the boiler.
