Magnesia chromite bricks are a type of refractory material commonly used in high-temperature industrial furnaces. They are made by mixing magnesia and chromite in appropriate proportions, and then firing the mixture at high temperatures.

The production principle of magnesia chromite bricks includes the following steps:

1.Raw material preparation: Magnesium oxide (MgO) and chromite (FeCr2O4) are selected as raw materials. The raw materials need to be crushed, ground, sifted, and mixed uniformly in a certain proportion to ensure that the composition of the mixture meets the requirements.

2.Forming: The prepared mixture is then put into a forming machine, where it is pressed into the desired shape. There are different types of forming methods, including hydraulic press forming, dry pressing, and extrusion molding.

3.Drying: After forming, the green body needs to be dried to remove moisture. The drying process is usually carried out in a dryer at a temperature of about 150-200℃.

4.Firing: The dried green body is then fired in a kiln at a high temperature of around 1700-1800℃. During the firing process, the magnesia and chromite react with each other to form magnesia-chrome spinel (MgAl2O4), which is the main component of the magnesia chromite brick.

5.Cooling: After firing, the kiln temperature is gradually lowered, and the magnesia chromite bricks are cooled down slowly to room temperature.

6.Inspection and packaging: The finished magnesia chromite bricks are inspected for quality and then packaged for shipment.
