There are several different grades of fire brick available, each with its own set of properties and recommended applications. The following are some of the most common grades of fire brick:

.Standard Fire Brick: These bricks are made from fire clay and have a maximum service temperature of around 1,550°C (2,820°F). They are commonly used for lining fireplaces, furnaces, and other low-temperature applications.

.Medium Duty Fire Brick: Made from a blend of fire clay and high-alumina materials, these bricks can withstand temperatures up to 1,650°C (3,000°F). They are suitable for use in areas that experience moderate heat and abrasion, such as the base of furnaces.

.High-Alumina Fire Brick: These bricks are made from high-purity alumina and can withstand temperatures up to 1,800°C (3,270°F). They offer excellent resistance to thermal shock and corrosion, making them ideal for use in high-temperature industrial settings such as kilns, boilers, and incinerators.

.Insulating Fire Brick: These bricks are made from lightweight materials such as vermiculite or perlite and can withstand temperatures up to 1,260°C (2,300°F). They are designed for use in areas where insulation is needed, such as furnace linings and chimney flues.

.Super Duty Fire Brick: Made from a blend of high-alumina materials, these bricks can withstand extremely high temperatures up to 1,900°C (3,450°F). They are typically used in specialized industrial applications such as glass manufacturing and steelmaking.
