The cement rotary kiln is the core equipment of the new dry process cement production line. It is the main equipment for burning the ground and prepared raw materials into clinker under high temperature. The clinker process is carried out here, that is, the sintering temperature is about 1450°C. A uniform mixture of raw materials is heated to form clinker.
The rotary kiln is a key equipment for cement production. Therefore, the refractory bricks must have the necessary strength to resist damage caused by friction. .
The refractory lining of the different areas of the rotary kiln is carefully designed for each specific kiln to withstand a combination of parameters and conditions such as fluctuating temperatures, chemical reactions between the refractory material and the feedstock and gases in the kiln, wear and tear, and mechanical stress caused by its own weight. Deformation of the kiln shell during rotation, etc.
Magnesia alumina spinel bricks or silica mullite bricks should be used in the transition zones on both sides where stable kiln skin is required.
The firing zone has the highest temperature, using magnesia iron spinel bricks.
The decomposition zone uses Spalling resistant high alumina bricks that are resistant to spalling. However, if some locations are eroded quickly and the service life is too short, composite structure silicon mullite bricks with strong corrosion resistance can also be used.
Use anti-crushing castables at the kiln tail constriction and the smoke chamber slope.
During the overhaul of the kiln head cover, if the curing time can reach more than 24 hours, use high-aluminum and low-cement castables. During the emergency repair of the kiln head cover, if the curing time is insufficient, use high-aluminum or wear-resistant castables.
