Directly bonded magnesia-chrome bricks are refractory materials manufactured by special processes such as high-grade magnesia, chrome concentrate, and increased firing temperature. Due to the small number of silicate phases and the large number of secondary spinels, the silicate phases become islands, and there are "direct bonds" between periclase-perclase and periclase-chromite. Direct bonded magnesia-chrome bricks are made of high-purity magnesia, chrome ore, and chrome concentrate, which are formed by high pressure, dried and fired at high temperature.

Directly bonded magnesia-chrome bricks have low impurity content, high bulk density, good slag resistance, strong corrosion resistance, refractoriness under load high, and good thermal shock resistance against rapid cooling and rapid heating.
