Refractory brick is a special high temperature resistant material, which is mainly composed of the following raw materials:
1. Kaolin: Kaolin is a clay ore rich in kaolinite, the main components of which are aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and silicon dioxide (SiO2). Kaolin has good high temperature resistance and erosion resistance, and plays an important role in the preparation of refractory bricks.
2. Silicon materials: Silicon materials such as quartz sand, silica, etc. are rich in silicon dioxide (SiO2), which plays a key role in the refractory performance and stability of refractory bricks. Silica materials can improve the wear resistance and erosion resistance of refractory bricks.
3. High alumina powder: High alumina powder is a kind of fine-grained aluminate powder, which is rich in alumina (Al2O3). High alumina powder can increase the refractory performance and mechanical strength of refractory bricks, and improve their corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
4. Binder: The binder is used to tightly combine the raw material particles in the refractory brick. Commonly used binders include clay, protein glue, silicate glue, etc. The choice of binder depends on the preparation process and requirements of refractory bricks.
5. Additives: In order to improve the performance of refractory bricks, some special additives can also be added. For example, adding alumina fine powder can improve the erosion resistance and thermal shock stability of refractory bricks; adding silicon carbide powder can increase the wear resistance of refractory bricks.
These raw materials can be prepared with various types and properties of refractory bricks through the process steps of proportioning, mixing, molding and sintering. According to different application requirements and conditions of use, the ratio of raw materials and process parameters can be adjusted to obtain refractory brick products that meet the requirements.
