There are several types of refractory bricks commonly used in lime shaft kilns:
1. High alumina refractory brick: High alumina refractory brick is a refractory material made of high-purity kaolin or high-alumina ductile clay as the main raw material. It has high temperature fire resistance, good slag erosion resistance and mechanical strength. High alumina refractory bricks are suitable for high temperature areas inside the lime shaft kiln, such as gas combustion area, preheating area and lime sintering area.
2. Silicate refractory brick: Silicate refractory brick is a refractory material made of silicate minerals (such as quartz, feldspar, etc.) as the main component. It has good heat resistance, chemical resistance and low thermal conductivity. Silicate refractory bricks are often used in the middle section and low temperature area of lime shaft kiln, such as limestone preheating area and limestone decomposition area.
3. Quality carbon refractory brick: Quality carbon refractory brick is a composite material composed of quality carbon material and silicate brick. It has excellent resistance to slag erosion, thermal shock resistance and electrical conductivity. High-quality carbon refractory bricks are often used in areas that require high refractory performance and thermal shock resistance inside the lime shaft kiln, such as the limestone roasting area.
4. High-steel refractory brick: High-steel refractory brick is a kind of refractory material made of high-purity kaolin and high-purity silicon carbide as the main raw materials. It has excellent high temperature resistance, high strength and slag erosion resistance. High-steel refractory bricks are suitable for areas in the lime shaft kiln that require high refractory performance and wear resistance.
These refractory bricks can be selected according to specific requirements based on their chemical composition, physical properties and refractory performance. When selecting and using refractory bricks, factors such as the operating conditions of the lime shaft kiln, the temperature range, and the required refractory performance need to be considered, and the guidance and recommendations provided by the manufacturer should be followed. At the same time, when installing and maintaining refractory bricks, the correct methods and procedures should be strictly followed to ensure the normal operation and life of the lime shaft kiln.
