Mullite brick is a type of high alumina refractory material with excellent thermal stability and high-temperature mechanical strength. Its thermal conductivity varies depending on factors such as temperature, density, and porosity.

Generally speaking, the thermal conductivity of mullite brick ranges from 0.8 to 1.5 W/m·K at room temperature, which is lower than that of metal materials but higher than that of most other refractories. As the temperature increases, the thermal conductivity of mullite brick gradually decreases due to the increase in thermal radiation from the surface of the material. At temperatures above 1000°C, the thermal conductivity of mullite brick usually drops to less than 1 W/m·K.

The thermal conductivity of mullite brick is also affected by its density and porosity. The higher the density, the higher the thermal conductivity, while the higher the porosity, the lower the thermal conductivity. For example, a dense mullite brick with a density of 2.6 g/cm³ may have a thermal conductivity of around 1.2 W/m·K, while a porous mullite brick with a density of 1.9 g/cm³ may have a thermal conductivity of around 0.8 W/m·K.
